Do I need an account? No. There is no sign-in, and everything in the app works without one.

Does it work offline? The mushaf, hifz, prayer times and adhkar do. Listening to reciters and downloading books need a connection.

Is my recitation recorded? Only if you record yourself in hifz. The recording stays on your device and is deleted when you leave the screen.

Location? Prayer times and the qibla are calculated on your device. A rough position may go to a lookup service to find or name your place, as the Privacy Policy explains. You can pick a city instead.

Where did live sessions and sign-in go? They were removed in version 1.0.4.

Moving to a new phone? Bookmarks and progress are kept only on the device, so they don't move across.

The current version has no accounts, so there's nothing to delete if you never signed in. If you made one in an earlier version, you can delete it in either of two ways:

In an earlier version: open Tasmee → open your profile (from the menu) → tap “Delete account” → confirm.

By email: write to privacy@tasmee.org with the phone number you signed in with, and we'll find the account from the number's hash and delete it.

What is deleted: your profile (nickname, gender, nationality, country), your listening preferences, your reading position and bookmarks, your push token, and the one-way hash of your phone number. What may be kept briefly: a redacted moderation record, only for its appeal window, then removed.
